The Association of Dress Historians supports and promotes the study and professional practice of the history of dress, textiles, and accessories of all cultures and regions of the world, from before classical antiquity to the present day.
The Association of Dress Historians maintains membership data so that we can keep members up to date with ADH activities. We maintain your name, email address, and information on your dress history subject specialisms. We will never disclose this information to third parties without your permission. We will only keep this data while your membership is active. When you receive an email from the ADH regarding members’ events, at the bottom of the email there is always advice on how to opt out of ADH email correspondence, should you wish to do so. Contact the Membership Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org to see a copy of the data we hold about you.
If you pay tax in the UK, the ADH is able to reclaim the tax paid on your ADH membership. This costs you nothing beyond your £10 ADH membership. By filling out the Gift Aid declaration form, below, HMRC will add 25% to your donation at no cost to you. This helps support our charity and the work we do.
If you are interested in making a donation to the ADH beyond a £10 membership, please contact the ADH Treasurer at email@example.com, who can advise you on different ways to donate to our charity, including the creation of a monetary endowment for a specific purpose (such as a student bursary or award) or leaving a legacy to the ADH in your Will.
Thank you for your support of the ADH and scholarship in dress history!
